CoSO's work with the Human Rights CommissionCoSO is presently working with the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission on two projects. The first is consultation on their Draft Strategic Plan, 1999-2002. The second is on the drafting on a Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland. Your Input: The deadline for consultation on the Draft Strategic Plan is 15th November 1999. CoSO is planning on drafting a brief response to the plan in time for this deadline. This will be circulated on the e-mail list over the next few days. If you would like to join the e-mail list please e-mail us on coso_ni@hotmail.com. The deadline may have passed by the time this site is up and running, however all comments are still gratefully received as they will have a bearing on how our community wishes to see the draft Bill of Rights develop.
A Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland CoSO is meeting with the Human Rights Commission on 30th November to discuss initial ideas on the inclusion of LBGT rights in the Bill of Rights.
