Decisions of Daring 98 conference

Constitution

In principle, the Conference adopted a constitution for the Uniting Network. The final drafting of the constitution was left in the hands of the incoming executive committee.

Co-convenors and Executive Committee of the Uniting Network

Rev Dr Dorothy McRae-McMahon and Mr Malcolm Cowan were elected as the new co-convenors of Uniting Network.

Other officers include a Secretary, Treasurer, Editor of the Newsletter, and one nominated member from each State or territory of Australia.

Response to the Report of the Three Former Presidents.

The Conference decided to send a response to the the Assembly Standing Committee regarding the report made to it by the Three Former Presidents of the UCA. A draft proposal was accepted in principle and given to the new Co-Convenors to finalise and to present to the next meeting of the Assembly Standing Committee.
