My first Tattoo...
I'd wanted a tattoo for about five years before I had it done.
I wanted something radial patterned - kind of like an eagle or a Klingon symbol from a distance!
I drew hundreds of designs before I
settled on this one:
1.
The navy blue wing shapes might look familiar to those who play computer
games -
- it's one of
the logos I modified from Quake II !
2. The red triange represents the gay triangle - the three notches symbolizes three gay brothers in my family.
3. The red diver down flag represents my sporting passion.
4.
The bottom triangle represents my only straight brother who passed away
in 1999.
This is not my arm, but I wanted to quickly see what it looked like before I went ahead and got permanently scarred!
The notched triangle was later made larger because it was too detailed to tattoo accurately.
I had my tattoo done by SHANE FAULKNER at WAY COOL TATTOOS at Yonge & Wellesley. It took a little over an hour to finish this design. The pain was like a hot knife slowly cutting through my flesh.
Yes, I'd do it all over again.
Would I get another? Probably not... one was all I wanted.
Here is the final healed result:
