Some more quotes that have stuck in my brain...
"...we were old enough to know that what looks like crazy on an ordinary day looks a lot like love if you catch it in the moonlight." Recently, I was looking for something inspiring to read and I thought of Robert Fulghum, the author of "All I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten", "Uh-oh", and more. His books have always given me a nice boost. So this last time, I bought his book "True Love" and the following passage really caught my attention:
"Love is the grandprize and the garbage heap. Love is a spiritual root canal and the only thing that makes life worth living. Love is a little taste of always and a big bite of nothing. And love is everything in between these extremes. It may be why there's that part in the wedding vows about 'for better or worse; for richer, for poorer; in sickness and in health.' It's the language of a realistic warranty for love. |
