Returning Home

Friday, May 10, 2002

I'd been on the road for about 10 hours, driving down the familiar highways. I took the exit from 64 to 29 and had made it over the first hill when the song below came on the radio. I know Vanessa Carlton's singing about a person, but still it felt so appropriate for how I feel about R-MWC. Sarah agrees with me and I'm sure the rest of my fellow classmates would also. In fact, there's only a line or two that don't fit. Otherwise, it could be the newest song sung by the Etas. (Evens Rule!)

Making my way downtown
Walking fast
Faces passed
And I'm home bound

Staring blankly ahead
Just making my way
Making my way
Through the crowd

And I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder....

If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
'Cause you know I'd walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you
Tonight

And when I'm not so exhausted, I'll add in some of the lyrics to my favorite R-MWC songs...
