What a Day!!

Monday, December 2, 2002 (1:45am)

So I almost lost my job today (technically yesterday). I got plenty of sleep. In fact, I woke up with enough sense to turn off the alarm instead of just hitting the snooze button. Unfortunately, my throat was so painfully sore that I went searching for my year old cough drops. Luckily, I found them right away so I popped one in and crawled back into bed to wait for it to kick in. I mean, the pain was THAT bad. And year old cough drops...they're almost worse than the sore throat itself. So anyway, when the excruciating pain finally faded, I fell asleep.

Next thing I know it's quarter to twelve. And I was supposed to be at work at eleven. And I've been given my final warning. If I'm late again, I'll be fired. So yeah, I was sobbing while driving 90mph down Rte. 3. I lucked out since Mary and Camille weren't working, but I was on the edge. I was going to work through my break just to make up the missed hour.

And then! I got an obscene phone call at work!!! I managed to keep tears in until my break. But then I just couldn't take it anymore...I only held it in that long because I didn't have time to focus on the day so far. Oh god, today sucked. Today sucked bad. And I realize this is a very short entry, but I just don't have the energy to say much more about it at this point. After I make it on time to work today, I should be ready to talk about it again.
