Membership

• Membership is open to people of Asian background.
• Membership fees of  $10 per year.
• Member can leave the group but no refunds.
• Members have the rights to attend all activities.

• To be eligible as committee member, a candidate must attend at least 6 meetings per year.
• There must be at least 3 people on the committee.
• Responsibility on committee is for two years but a committee member can resign after one year.
• Tasks on committee assigned by committee members amongst themselves.
• After the responsibilities have been decided, the group must be hold.

• Committee meets at least 6 times a year.
• To counter as a committee meeting there must be at least half the committee  members present.

• There must be at least 6 meetings per year.
• To count as a group meeting there must be at least nine members.
• Everyone is encouraged to participate and to contribute their ideas, opinions, etc.
• Anything discussed is confidential.
• Meeting dates to be notified at least one week beforehand.

• The group can raise funds through - i, membership fees ii, donations, iii, funding from another organizations iv, fundraising activities etc.
• All funds of the group are for the group.
• At least 2 people will hold the joint account for S.I.L.K.

• At the end of each year, the committee must review the year before and let members know how we went.

• The constitution can only be changed by calling a special meeting.
• There must be at least 70% approval of the change.
