Cal Dreamin' - Day 1

(Click on the photos below to see the full sized version)

I arrived Friday the 23rd, and immediately changed into brown slacks, brown Ferragamo pumps, a cream silk blouse and a cute brown backpack purse. (Sorry for the detail but forgot to take pics of this outfit!)

After lunch and attending a seminar I talked with speaker Dr. Vern Bullough, a USC professor and author of "Crossdressing, Sex, and Gender", one of the leading academic works on crossdressing and transvestic fetishism (the correct terminology). After a nice chat ("I read your book," etc.) he absolutely made my day when he complimented my feminine look!

3 GirlsSpent the afternoon touring the vendor area, meeting other girls and attending the walk through for the show the VC girls put on that night. Changed into a cute little black Issac Mizrahi dress and went to the dinner. This pic was taken at our table and that is my very, very good friend Laurie Kastler on the right who joined me for the evening.

After dinner, well the VC girls acquitted themselves with flair, All right, all right, I wasn't "in" the show per se; as a new VC VC Girlsmember I was assigned the novitiate's role of running the spotlight but even playing Diogenes was fun and, at least, useful. Roxy DuMonde was emcee and a more fuschia and feathers outfit one has never seen. Donna T. (with more sequins than there are stars in heaven), Debbie Allen (with the biggest and fullest ruffled black cape in all of Christendom) and Julie Hart (in a cute little short number) handled the songs. Revy Rose pulled the DJ duty and Lacey Leigh and Vicki Rene fulfilled the backroom wardrobe change assistant role. The karaoke songs and dancing afforded great fun for the participants and audience. This pic is taken just after the show.

.And since you have been kind enough to read this far, the reward is a pic of yours truly bringing illumination into the dark recesses of the crossdressing world! After dinner many us went over to the Queen Mary, the leading T-girl place in LA, and partied until closing time. God do I love dancing!

This is Revy Rose, our DJ for the evening. In the whole time, she only played one wrong record! Not bad, eh?
