New Religion

I am often asked, Well, if you don't believe in God and if you don't believe in the bible, what do you believe in?

As I have pointed out before, one need not believe in anything to have a good life.

Belief means "to accept something about which there is some doubt". If you are out and someone comes running up to you gasping, "Your house is on fire." Do you believe him or not?
Chances are, you will, especially if it's someone you trust. So you race home.
Whether the house is afire or not is irrelevant. The fact is, you believed the person.
But you did not know if the house was on fire, or not.
If you know something, belief is not involved. If you believe something, there is always some doubt.
A scientist is a person who does not deal in beliefs. He doesn't believe anything. If he does not know it, he ignores it. It is not a part of his data base.

A scientist cannot believe in god, because if he did, he would no longer be a scientist. He would be a nonprofessional - someone who accept that which is told him, without the benefit of proof. He would give up his right to be called a scientist because he is indulging in amateurish thinking.
Christians inevitably come up with, "Well, some of the greatest scientists in the world believed in god."
This is utterly false.
By definition, a scientist cannot believe in anything.

Convincing people of this is the hardest thing in the world for anyone to attempt.

The next hardest thing is to convince homosexuals that their condition and all the problems involved therein, is caused by the Christian Church. This is also true of rapists, child molesters, sexual harassment offenders, etc., etc. Even prostitutes. Anyone labeled sex offender.

The Christian Church is behind it all because the Church harassed and harangued the populace about the "dirtyness" of sex, that it (the Church) got its opinions onto the law books and the "sins" became the "law of the land." Now, if you break the laws of the church, you are breaking the law of the land.
Which, might be a good thing because today you only go to prison; in the old days, when you broke the rules of the church, you went to the bonfire, or the gallows, or the guillotine, or the bottom of the pond. The Church didn't fool around with trespassers in those days, They hung your ass.

As a matter of pure honesty, I will have to admit that the Christian Church is not the only church guilty in this matter. All churches are guilty, but I name the Christian Church because it's the one with which we deal the most in this culture, and the one with the most influence. Of all the rotten apples in the barrell, this one is the rottenest.
Of course, the judicial system, the courts, the law enforcement agencies, the legal system, the news media, the educational system, are all equally guilty because they support and validate the rotteness of the Church.
If you don't believe this is important, consider the affairs of the current President of the United States, Bill Clinton.
The government of the U.S. has spent over $40,000,000 trying to prove him guilty of having a penis, a penis that gets hard, a sex drive that can be satisfied by being sucked.
Is there a man in the world who doesn't meet this criteria?
Is there a man anywhere that has never had a blow job? I don't think so. Yet the Christian Church caused our government to spend this enormous sum of money to prove Bill Clinton has a sex drirve, and a private life.
Still don't think the Christian Church can do any damage? Better rethink your thinking.
Well, just how many starving children could we feed with that $40,000,000?
How about the $4,000,000 the prez spent defending himself?
Care to estimate the number of dollars spent on the penal system supporting rapists, child molesters, and other sex offenders who have been sentenced to our prisons?
Then add the amount spent on the police, judges, lawyers and prosecuting attorneys who fight these cases.
Then add in the amount spent on mental hospitals whose only function is to cure people afflicted by religion. Oh, yes, all mental illness is caused by the Church.
Then throw in the money spent on psychiatry to cure the mental illness caused by religion in those never sentenced to mental hospitals.

The amount of money wasted because of the Church is counted in Trillions. Not billions, but trillions.
And this has been going on for the last ten thousand years.

Question is, why am I the only one who sees this?

Is there a better way?
Absolutely.
Not a religion but a system, or orientation.
You have two choices: you can be,
1.) Religiously oriented and live a miserable life, or
2.) Scientifically oriented and have a calm, peaceful existence even with a good amount of happiness.

The scientifically oriented individual knows that the there is no god, therefore there is no bifurcated universe. The universe is not divided into two parts, good and bad, wicked and good, right and wrong, etc., etc.

The universe is neither good nor bad, it just is.
So, it makes sense to view the universe as being right. Nobody made a mistake when he (who ever "he" might be) created the universe. It is homogenous - all good, all right, all one.
And you are a part of it.
