I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

I didn't really do anything today that I don't do every other day. Horses ...barn ...computer ...town ...dinner ...computer ... fetch Lorna etc. There are times when even though I'm doing stuff it all feels terribly purposeless and then I wonder if I don't mean porpoiseless because the good thing about porpoises is that you at least know for sure whether you've got one or not. You don't hear people saying "Honey, remind me, do we have a porpoise or not?", do you? Whether or not there is a purpose is less easy to define.

Winter is already starting to happen.
