Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

Despite the late night and having had a fair bit of the pink champagne I was awake for ages and wanted to just sleep all morning. However the various noises happening in and around the house meant that I wasn't going to be able to do that and it made sense to get up and get on with things anyway. I'd decided that I really had to go to Aberystwyth today if I possibly could manage to do that otherwise the big X day is going to happen and I'm not going to be ready. I hate the feeling of panic I always end up with at this time of the year, and I never ever learn to just get it together earlier.
Anyway, once the morning chores were out of the way, including nearly getting stampeded by the horses (maybe they need more hay) I set of for the bristling urban metropolis that is Aberystwyth on the last Saturday before Christmas. And it was pretty bad. I don't like crowds, they make me sweat and I was very sweaty by the time I'd finished. And the money..... the money that just pours out of my fingers, it's quite extraordinary. I got home just in time to get the dinner together, but that was easy because there was lots of nice leftovers from last night's party. Then I began a marathon wrapping session. I wrapped and stuck and folded and cut and got about 15 done. That's one household seen to, I'm not even thinking about how much more I still have to do.
