Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

Today was not a nice day outside. I only ventured out there to fetch coal and wood and when the postman came with a parcel. However, this was a good thing because I went to bed last night telling myself that today had better be list day, and it was the sort of list that involved lots of (excruciating for me) phone calls and other indoor stuff.

I didn't get absolutely the whole list done but then I never do. I did discover that somewhere out there is a large housing benefit cheque for me which is now being re-issued and I was very glad that I had made that phone call. Seems like there is some severe Tweedledum and Tweedledee going on at Ceredigion County Council. I don't want to say anything particularly libelous but why they cannot grasp the fact that I moved over six months ago is beyond me. I'm not going into the finer points of this one, it's too ludicrous and there are too many finer points. Besides, it is just not at all interesting to anyone except myself.

In between all the phone calls and the calling back when the computer is working (theirs, not mine) I was printing out colour copies of all Hanna's new marketing materials. A lot of it had to be cut to size or into shapes for folding and I discovered that if I grip a scalpel firmly in my electric hand then take the battery out I can then move the ruler around and hold it with my hand. This is a big deal, before this I had to have the scalpel in my hand and hold the ruler with my feet and always ended up with lots of back pain after doing a job like that, so I'm well chuffed about that.

I finally managed to get the leaf, tree, leaf picture to load up.....

but failed miserably to get a Flash movie running. It works fine when I run it locally but as soon as it is uploaded everything goes squiffy. I haven't a clue what to do about it. That's one of the problems of being in such a sparsely populated area, I don't know anyone else who even knows what html is, never mind shockwave. I just have to keep puzzling away and finally the answer will come, but it would be much easier if there was someone I could talk to about it.
