Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

I woke up feeling somewhat better than yesterday, but still in pain. But I reckoned I was ok to go and feed the horses which I did manage to but found it so knackering that I went back to bed for two hours and then got up and ate some yoghurt.
So then I finished up by filling up the water trough and giving the pigs some water as well since theirs had been kicked over. Clare arrived to see if I was up for giving her broken down van a tow to the garage and I thought I was probably up to that, after a cup of fennel tea. This trip entailed several stages since I needed to go into town as well and buy some money and then up to Clare's caravan and let her out to change and get the keys and down to the van to hitch it up to tow. Because of the direction it was pointing in and because we couldn't be bothered to turn it around we ended up towing it round a really horrid, convoluted little road and down lots of steep hills, not that the other way would have been much better. The tow rope even broke at one point and after tying it up Mrs I-Can't-Actually-Drive-In-Reverse came along and couldn't contemplate going backwards round a corner and I then had to shift my car about in the road to let her through, and she didn't believe she'd fit through and Clare had to stand in front and reassure her. We did eventually get Clare's car to the garage and I was mighty relieved about that, we'd been doing about 5mph all the way and it was still completely stressful. I hate towing.
Home for a bit of a collapse in front of the fire and a fairly early dinner which seemed to go down ok. I managed a bit of work in the evening and a bath and watched Lenny Henry on the tv and got to bed seriously early.
