Scarf Tying Guide

Ascot

1. Fold a square scarf into an oblong.
2. Place around the neck and flip one end over the other.

Hacking Knot

1. Fold an oblong scarf in half and drape around the neck.
2. Pull the ends through the loop and tighten.

Head Wrap 1

1. Fold a square scarf into a triangle, and place on the head.
2. Tie in a simple knot under the chin.

Head Wrap 2

1. Fold a square scarf into a triangle.
2. Bring down across forehead and knot in back.

Head Wrap 3

1. Fold a square scarf into a triangle, and place on the head.
2. Cross the ends in front.
3. Bring to the back and tie a simple knot.

Knotted Neck Wrap

1. Fold a square scarf into a triangle.
2. Place the point in front.
3. Cross the ends behind the neck.
4. Tie in the front using a square knot.

Neckerchief

1. Fold a square on the bias.
2. Wrap around the neck and tie in knot.

Scarf Skirt

1. Use an oversized shawl or stole.
2. Wrap around the waist, tucking the inside end with the overlapping wrap.
3. Gather the remaining end, tuck in, or belt.

Slip Knot

1. Place an oblong scarf around the neck with one end longer than the other.
2. Tie a simple knot in the longer end.
3. Place the other end into and through the knot and tighten slightly.

Square Knot

1. Fold a square scarf into a triangle.
2. Flip one end over the other.
3. Take the upper end around and behind the other.
4. Pull through and tighten.
5. The knot can be in the front, side or back.

Waist Sash

1. Pull oblong scarf through belt loops.
2. Tie into a soft bow.
