Ouro Preto

Ouro Preto is the most famous historic town of Minas Gerais. The town was the site of the Inconfidencia Mineira -- the first attempt to gain independence for Brazil, which was at the time a Portuguese colony. Today the peaceful little town features colonial-era hilly streets, heavily ornate churches, museums, universities, student housing, and the products of the wealth created by the then-abundant gold.

Renata and Valeria were in Outro Preto celebranting the first anniversary of their relationship, at the end of June 1997. The weather was beautiful, with lots of sun to make the girls even happier.
