Lucy's
Diary of an English Lady
Spring 1998
Chapter 8
Sunday | |
It was a warm sunny day, so for the first time this year I put on a summer frock; my Mama had given me a blue dress with white spots which I wore with blue shoes. First I picked some daffodils in the garden |
|
Then in response to a request from my host I modelled three of my long dresses, the ivory ball gown that I had recently bought from Cornucopia |
|
my pink bridesmaid's dress that had been made for me in Thailand | |
and my red "Scarlet O'Hara" dress that I had bought some years ago in New York for one of the drag balls. |
|
It is a deliciously feminine feeling to be outside on a sunny day wearing a lovely long gown. |
