Lucy's
late summer weekend in London
Chapter 1
I was travelling for much of July and August, so my next few days off were in late September when the weather was beginning to change. My Mama, who buys at lot of her clothes from catalogues, had ordered for me a lovely three piece outfit for the autumn. It comprised a check jacket, demerara skirt and oxblood stretch top which all fitted beautifully. |
I wore it with light tan coloured tights and black low-heeled shoes on Friday when I went to Jasmin to have my hair done. |
I arrived there a little early and waited while she looked after two other clients who chatted to me about hair styles, clothes and the film "There's something about Mary"; one of them made me blush by saying "You trannies are so lucky, you can make your own hair gel"! |
When it was my turn, Jasmin used her heated curling tongs and a lot of hair spray to make sure that the style lasted for at least two nights. She wanted to know all about the Ascot trip and promised to do my hair next year in a style to suit whatever hat I will be wearing. |
That evening I put on a short black skirt, white ruffled blouse and black hold-up stockings and went to have dinner at the Philbeach Hotel. Jimmy's bar is being renovated so a small bar has been set up at the entrance to the dining room. |
