Lucy's
late summer weekend in London
Chapter 4
I couldn't miss the last day in town of the hit show |
So I had bought my ticket in advance... |
When I arrived, I realised that she was not feeling at all well, so we tried to find someone else to accompany me; despite lots of calls we could not get anyone, so I decided to go on my own. |
After a short nap and shower, I put on my make-up and dressed in my outfit for the theatre, which was a short white shift dress with a matching see-through jacket held at the front with a gold chain. I put on a pair of shiny champagne-coloured hold-up stockings and wore a matching set of glittery gold necklace, earrings and bracelet. Although I was disappointed and somewhat nervous to be going alone, I felt sufficiently glamorous and sophisticated to face the West End crowds. |
Linda arranged
a cab to pick me up and I arrived at the theatre about 15 minutes before the show started.
I made my way through the crowds to leave my coat, bought a programme and went to the bar
for a glass of wine. No one spoke to me, but I did attract quite a few glances. |
Then I went to my seat and saw another TG girl sitting nearby. We spoke briefly and agreed to meet in the bar at the interval. She was an attractive blonde called Shelley. |
The show was absolutely wonderful: the girls were gorgeous, the costumes stunning and the songs and dancing excellent. I had seen it at the Mambo Club in Bangkok some years ago and thought that this was even better, particularly on the large stage. The audience really enjoyed it and found it hard to believe that all the performers were male: the man sitting next to me said that they were better than the real thing and gasped when the hula dancers appeared topless showing their well-formed breasts. |
During the
interval I got to know Shelley who was really sweet. We also talked to two couples who took some photos, including one of the two of us with one of the wives called Jacqueline. |
After the show we took some more photos in the theatre |
and in the foyer. |
