Mountain Valley Spring Spa 10K
The Sportsfest weekend will be Nov. 10-12, 2000Early registration for the Spa 10K and other running events on Saturday, Nov. 11 costs $17; it will be $22 during race week.
Day of race registration opens at 7 a.m. in the Hot Springs Convention Center lobby. The 10K starts at 8:30 a.m. with the wheelchair division, followed immediately by the run. The 5K racewalk starts at 8:32 a.m.
The Spa Squirt children's race will start at 10:45 a.m. on Central Avenue.
A free "depletion run" of up to 20 miles will start at 7 a.m. Sunday, and the free "inspirational walk" starts at 7:30 a.m.
Pedal to the Peak
Pedal to the Peak check-in opens at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, with time trials starting at 2:30 p.m. The 2.3 mile event goes from Whittington Park to West Mountain's peak. Cost is $17 if postmarked by Nov. 5, or $20 later. Early registrants are guaranteed to receive a T-shirt. Competitors must wear an approved helmet and must sign a release at the check-in table.Registration can be mailed to: Sportsfest, P.O. Box 8101, Hot Springs village, AR 71910.
