Great Lakes Lighthouses
|
|
|
Within these pages you will see pictures of the many lighthouses my wife, Sharon, and I have visited
over the years. Both of us agree that the lighthouses have been taken for granted in the past and only
until recently have people started taking the time to discover them and to learn about their history
and the families that lived there so long ago. One must remember that without these guardians of
ships our history as we know it today might totally different. So if you're on vacation and happen
to see a sign that says Historical Lighthouse ahead, do youself a favor and stop for awhile and walk
the grounds, climb the tower and listen for the sounds of children playing and the men working so
hard to safely guide those small ships along the mighty lakes' shoreline so that they could bring
the much needed supplies that the pioneers who settled in this great country could survive.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the pictures and Please sign the Guest Book.
