About Me!!
I am a Senior at Illinois State University.
My major is Industrial Technology. My sequence is
graphic communication with a concentration in drafting and industrial computer systems.
I am going to graduate in May of 98 after a full four years... and hopefully get a cool web job...
Hopefully in Colorado.... I had been living out west in Colorado this
summer with my sister... which totally ruled, and i really didn't want to
leave!!! And my sis and friends there didn't help.. they would beg me to stay like
everyday... ugh! My new plans include coming back out to Denver for xmas and
next summer again!!:):) It just rules there!!! After that I plan
to get a real job sometime... and get paid real money where i can have the real weekends off!
So that way I can climb and do whatever my little heart desires:)
Although I must say that it will be hard not being able to climb with Erin all
the time:( Oh well we can't live together our whole lives I guess...
I am involved in a couple of organizations here at ISU: Honors Student Organization,
Phi Eta Sigma, Coordinator's Club (Outdoor Program), Golden Key, and have been in National
Association of HomeBuilders. I am thinking about joining the rock climbing club soon, maybe
this semester... but then again Matt and Rob will never tell us how to join so maybe not....
update! I will be joining the climbing club on an excursion for fall break! So awesome:)
Since being here, I haven't really changed all that much. I have been able to broaden
my interests though due to the opportunities here in B/N. For instance I've been
rappeling, skydiving, sea kayaking, white water rafting, and rock climbing. Would also like to try
biking in Arizona and visiting the slot canyons. It seems this year I've
been going climbing an awful lot (the guys and girls that work there know me by
name!) I've put cool pics of Erin and I
climbing at Upper Limits. I was a trip coordinator
for the Outdoor Program here at ISU. I took out my first trip this past semester- hiking at
Matthiesen State Park, look at the pics! Not enough time so
that has been pushed to the side...
I have many a hobby that keeps me very busy when I let them... The second most time consuming
is updating my homepages. The first is rock climbing. Climbing has become my new found passion.
If you are in need of a belayer or climbing partner, let me know!! Although I must warn you
we've only just begun about a year ago. I am now up to a solid 5.9 soon to
start on some 5.10's. I have done a couple 5.10's, but with rests...
Everytime we go we get better or notice improvement, so hopefully we'll be pretty damn good by
the end of this fall semester!! We have also taken a lead class so now we are trying out
a new type of climbing that is much more exciting- maybe a little too exciting. We'll also
be starting some outdoor climbing... even more exciting.
Here is a list of all the other things I like to do: hike backpack, do sand art (ma is jealous
of my talent), water ski, downhill ski, in-line skate, swim, travel, camp, canoe, rappel, rock
climb, read (especially a
Koontz book or Robin Cook book), watch movies (especially one of mine!!), write/read
poetry, photography, view/find/explore/photograph
waterfalls, ice skate, kite fly, horseback ride, dance... And now that I'm 21 I can actually
get into the bars to go dancing.. too bad Chu's had to go downhill!! But that's my luck....
Some of my favorite things are the color white and roses. With all of the outdoor stuff
I like to do it is probably no surprise that I like to travel
and of course take tons of pictures of everywhere I go. One of my
favorite places to go is
Beauport, if you have no idea what it is just follow the link to find out!!!
As you can tell I am an outdoor person, two summers ago
I went out West
to visit the many great sights with the fam... Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and San Francisco.
The fam and I had some great fun!! I put some
cool pics on here that I took... that page also covers my time in Denver from this
past summer!!! we'll see about more pics....

The Homefront
I grew up in a little "town" called Elizabeth. Elizabeth is in the upper Northwest
corner of Illinois, opposite Chicago and near Galena. I've lived near or in Elizabeth my whole
life (I'm 21 so...) Elizabeth is a nice 3 hour drive from ISU, well actually it is pretty
damn boring... just cornfields till Rockford... then hills where I live.
Info on my fam... my parents: Jeneile (mom) picutured on both sides, Greg (dad) with mom on the
left, Tiffany (oldest sister), Adam (only brother), and Kendra (youngest sis). My parents
also grew up in Elizabeth. Went to high school and graduated together, in addition to being
high school sweethearts. After getting a few years of college life they got married and got -
the farm... soon we started invading their lives. Yep you read correctly, we used to live on
a farm, so I am a farm girl. We had some really good times out there, and actually I still can
due to the fact that my good friend Jack lives(d) there. But we ended up moving into town sometime
around 1991 - 1992. We did a total make-over of the house and now it looks pretty spiffy. Dad
works at M&W Feed Mill (where he spends way too much time...). Tiffany currently
works at Great West Life, and lives in Dever, Colorado! Tiff's a computer programer,
currently in Visual Basic, and actually doing web development with active x stuff... so not too
sure what else she's working on.... Our ultimate plan is get a gym going, where she can do
the aerobic part, and I'll start
a rock gym part... Adam is still in high school and hopefully will not be another Charles DeMar.
He is wanting to go into graphics of some sort and is currently interested in drafting and
animation, he is also hoping to move in with Tiff in Denver ... three may be a crowd but we'll see!.
Kendra is also in high school (2 more years). She wants to become a ?? maybe a nurse?? She
plans on going to Highland at least for a year and who knows from there. She prides herself on
being unique and being her true self:) You can catch some pics of them on my
friends page...
