I am from the Lebanon , the peaceful little rocky mountainous country on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean. Once shattered by a "civil war" staged by the Super Powers to serve some evil design, this dirty warended the same way as it started, nobody knowing why!
This "Rock" has seen many invaders vanish on it's slopes since historical times, but the Rock is still here.( In fact you can see steles they left behind at an obligatory passage in Nahr-el-Kalb since Pharaoh Ramses II ).
On a visit to the Lebanon some years ago, the Pope reminded us that two thousand years ago, Christ Himself Visited Tyre and Sidon Preaching our grandfathers. In two thousand years we will still be waiting for His Emissary's next visit.
It's the perfect place for
Hiking, not to forget Caving , ( what about seing some hidden parts of the famous Jeita Grotto, not opened to tourists ? )
