Need to make some corrections in my query since I have new confirmed information: Looking for parents of William H. Andrews Mar 5, 1872-Aug 27, 1949 md. May 8, 1895 (Coffee County) Ella Lucy Mathis Andrews July 8, 1874-Jan 6, 1958 Parents might have been Emily Anderson 1850-? and Taylor Andrews b & d unknown. I believe this is the same Emily Anders who married C.T. Williams in Coffee County Aug 17 1895.

I would like to find some information on the DUNN family. I have found: Mattie Spinks married William J. DUNN in Coffee County on April 22, 1916. They were the parents of: J. C. Dunn, Abner Dunn, Mary Elizabeth Dunn, Eudell Dunn, Vincent Dunn, Benjamin Dunn, & Henry Dunn. At some point, William J. Dunn died and Mattie Spinks married again to J. Tom Lord. I am interested in the Girtman family. I can trace back my great grandfather, Benjamin Franklin Girtman, born in 1850: his father, Benjamin L. Girttman, born in Telfair in Coffee county in 1820 and I believe was murdered there in 1856. His father Daniel Girtman was married in Telfair in 1812 to Sallie Arnold. I would like to know if he was also born in Coffee County. And any thing else you might know about the Girtman family. As a matter of interest, My great grandmother's family, Wilcox, also were living in Coffee County durning the early 1800s. Thanks so much for your help

I am trying to find information on Susan Grantham, born abt. 1863. The only information I have is her name, county she was born in, Coffee, and the man she married, George Giddens, born 1863. I know she lived with George in Berrien County until they died. I am sorry I do not have anymore information on her to give you. Hi Melody: I am researching Kirklands too. However, I have run into a brick wall with my gg grandfather, Seth H. Kirkland who was b.1830 in GA but I have no idea where. He had at least one brother William John b. bet 1837 - 1841. In 1850 Seth was 20 yrs old living in the house with Joseph and Ann Drake in Gadsden Co., FL. Both Joseph and Ann were born in Georgia as well. I have not been able to find William John anywhere in 1850. He is living with his brother Seth in 1860 in Gadsden Co., GA. They both enlist in CSA from FL in 1862. Seth died in dec 1862, Wm. John died Mar 1863 in Strawberry Plains, TN from pneumonia. If you happen to have any info on these two brothers are come across anything, would you please let me know. I have been stuck for 10 years now. I would like to know who their parents are. My mother is Mattie Clyde Rogers it list on her marriage cert. as place of birth as West Green Ga. stories passed down say that Eugenia spent time in prison for murdering her husband. LORD - Does anyone have any information on the LORD family? I don't know for sure that they originated in Coffee County, but I know that several of the children of this particular LORD family I'm looking for lived and are buried in Coffee County. I don't know the names of the parents, but the some of the children in this particular LORD family are: William Wesley Lord - Born 1884, Henderson F. Lord - Born 1887, Sarah Adeline Lord - Born 1900, Rastus Lord - Born ?, Cora Lord - Born ? If anyone has any information on this family, I would appreciate hearing from you. I would like to have information on James M. DENTON, 1844-1928. He was the son of Samuel and Priscilla WARD DENTON (according to "Pioneers of Wiregrass GA" by Huxford) and was born in Telfair Co. Huxford wrote that he was sheriff of Coffee Co. 1868-1873. His home was about 18 miles south of Hazlehurst. I'm trying to find proof of the names of his DENTON grandparents. Does anyone know what his middle name was? If anyone could find an obituary for him, I would be happy to pay for copying and mailing, if it needs to be sent through the US mail. Seeking anyone with information on Duncan CURRY. Duncan CURRY came to Iwrin Co. (which later became Coffee Co. in the 5th land district)from Telfair Co. Duncan followed his sons William, Daniel, and John into this area. Duncan was born in 1776 and died in 1852 in Coffee Co., Ga. I will be glad to share any information I have with anyone.

I am looking for info on Bunyan MERRITT born in NC., son of Burrell MERRITT. He came with his father to Telfair Co. abt. 1820 and later settled in Irwin Co. which was later made into Coffee Co. I am searching for information on Archibald (or Archie) Benjamin Taylor, born in Berrien County (Nashville, GA) in 1884. He was married to Bessie Estella Lieupo (b.1898 - Lakeview, SC). I would like to know when they were married, and what their parents names were. Archie had four sons: Chester, Pleasant, Alfred, and James (my father). I would also like to know where my grandfather is buried. I was told that he was buried about 10 miles from Douglas, GA. They both died in Douglas, GA.

Looking to exchange information on Leonard Harper, Jr. & Sr. Migrated from NC to McIntosh Co., GA, during Revolutionary War. Died in McIntosh Co.,1822. Leonard, Jr., migrated to Irwin Co., Came to McIntosh Co., GA, with his father, Leonard Sr., during the Revolutionary War. He was a member of the Wesley Creek Baptist Church while living in McIntosh Co. Leonard moved briefly to Florida in 1822, then returned to live in Irwin Co., GA, near Lax, about 1826. His home and plantation were located near Lax. His will was probated in January of 1843 in Irwin Co.
