After the Nurse's Ball, Brenda resumed her modeling career. Sonny kept conviently running into her around town which annoyed Jax but he said nothing to Brenda. One day at Kelly's, Brenda became dizzy and almost fell but Sonny caught her just before Jax walked in. Jax was not pleased to see Sonny holding Brenda and demanded to know what was going on. When Jax learned about Brenda's fainting spell, he immediately became concerned and insisted on taking his wife home, leaving behind a miserable Sonny. At the penthouse, Jax learned that Brenda was still taking pain medication and asked her why. Brenda told him that her hip still bothered her sometimes. Jax became more concerned and suggested she see another doctor but Brenda told him she was seeing Alan and that it wasnt a big deal. Jax reluctantly dropped the subject.

Later, Brenda came across an agonized Sonny at the hospital and she did her best to comfort him concerning his lost child. Brenda then told Jax about her concerns over Sonny, and how she feared his loss might push him over the edge. Brenda asked Jax to please under- stand why she was being so concerned and why she hadnt been able to leave Sonny to his own devices. Jax lovingly told her that he did understand and that he didnt expect her to immediately stop caring about Sonny just because they had gotten married. Brenda thanked him for being so loving, sweet and supportive. They kissed.

Later a package arrived containing a wedding present from Brenda's sister, Julia. It was a book (Shakespeare's sonnets I think) and Brenda told Jax that her sister intended the book to be an insult. She told Jax about some of the lousy things that happened when she was a kid and how Julia treated her. Jax told her he knew Julia from some business dealings he'd had in London. He sympathized with Brenda on her childhood and then promised that her life would be different from then on.



Brenda attended an ELQ board meeting with Jax at the Q mansion, where Tracy showed up and surprised everyone. Tracy made some cutting remarks to Brenda after being introduced and compared her unfavorably to her sister. Jax stepped in and returned fire on Tracy. Later Brenda, Jax and the Q's, including Tracy, went to the Outback to see Ned perform as Eddie Maine. Sonny showed up and when Tracy saw the looks between Brenda and Sonny, she made more insulting remarks. The tension between everyone got very thick but Brenda and Lois managed to difuse it some and the show went on. Afterwards Jax found a moment alone with Tracy and warned her to stay away from his wife or their deal would be off.

Brenda went to Alan again and convinced him to prescribe her more pain medicine. Later, she took a pill at a stressful photo shoot but hid it from Jax. Afterwards, Brenda tried to rest but was plagued by nightmares. Jax comforted her and promised again that he would make her life easier. He started by taking her on a trip to Australia where he had some business to do. When they returned Brenda learned that Jason was missing after doing some business for Sonny. She then learned where Jason was from Mac and Robin and went to let Sonny know. They had a friendly meeting but Brenda decided not to tell Jax about it.



Brenda overheard Jax and Tracy plotting an ELQ takeover but didnt say anything to Jax about it. Later he told her all about his plans and when Brenda questioned him he told her it was just business. Brenda then told Ned and Lois what was being planned which caused Ned to decide to stay in PC and fight Tracy. Lois and Brenda both decided that they wouldnt let the fight over ELQ come between their friendship. But when Ned and Tracy got into a big fight, the stress caused Lois to start having severe pains and she had to be rushed to the hospital. Brenda ran into Sonny after making sure that Lois was alright and he told her that Jax's takeover attempt was what had caused the stress and that it was dangerous for Lois and the baby. A concerned Brenda talked to Jax about it and asked if it was possible for him to let this go. Once again Jax told her that it was just business and then told her about some things that happened in his childhood when his family was desperately poor and how that had made him determined to be successful in everything he did. He said giving it up now would be like failing. Brenda and Jax bonded over their shared memories.

The fight for ELQ got ugly and Lois decided she couldnt raise her child among the Q's so she moved back to Bensonhurst but Ned stayed in PC. Jax gave up the fight for the company and Tracy was left defeated. She asked Jax for money and when he refused to give her any she started a fight between him and Sonny. Brenda came home from a promotional tour in time to see them about to come to blows but she quickly broke it up.



Brenda and Jax decided it was time to renew their wedding vows in front of family and friends. Hoping to ease Ned's loneliness, Brenda asked him to give her away. She also asked him to get Sonny off the ELQ board then left their meeting falsely assuming that Ned would help Jax. As Brenda and Jax planned a romantic honeymoon, Sonny took Lily's portrait off his wall and vowed to defeat Jax and get Brenda back. Later Jax called his parents to share the plans for the wedding. While talking to his father, Jax commented that he hoped the past wouldnt come back to haunt him.

Jax decided to surprise Brenda with an elaborate second wedding so he hired Katherine as a wedding consultant. When Brenda and Jax met with Katherine to discuss the details, Kat mentioned how popular opals were and Jax reacted very strangely. Later he learned that Sonny had tried to get information on Jax's past from Mac and had a haunting flashback.

A weary Brenda popped another pain pill to cope with her grueling promotional tour. The next day she called Ned from Brooklyn to tell him of his daughter's birth. Afterward, Brenda returned to PC and brought Ned a picture of his newborn daughter.



Sonny continued to try to get Mac to tell him about Jax's past but Mac refused. Later Mac encouraged Jax to come clean with his wife. Jax realized that Mac was right but when he was about to tell Brenda about his past he was interrupted by the arrival of his parents. When Lady Jane took off with Brenda, John insisted that his son keep his past private. Later John warned Sonny to drop his investigation into Jax's past. When Sonny ignored the threat, he was attacked outside Luke's club. That night Jax had nightmares and was comforted by Brenda but he still didnt tell her what was bothering him.

The next day, Brenda overheard Ned and Sonny plotting against Jax. Even though she was extremely hurt by their plotting she didnt confront them. Instead she went to Lila, who lifted her spirits by insisting that Brenda and Jax renew their vows at the Q mansion. Then Jax overwhelmed Brenda by whisking her off to New Orleans for a pre-wedding honeymoon. At the same time, Sonny headed to Australia to gather information on the Jacks family. Sonny had a hard time finding anyone willing to talk about the Jacks' but finally found one man. What he found out sent him on to the Phillipines.





As Brenda prepared to walk down the aisle at the Q mansion, she came to a realization about her feelings for Jax. Going to him, she told him that she loved him and the two went down the staircase together, laughing and reveling in their love. As they made their way to the foyer, the door opened and Sonny walked in with a woman whom he introduced as Mrs. Jasper Jacks. The surprised girl took one look at Brenda and Jax in their wedding finery and ran back out the door. Jax went after her and, talking to her, he realized that despite her changed appearance, the woman was his presumed-dead wife, Miranda. A shocked Jax stared in disbelief at the woman he thought had died in an explosion. Back in the mansion, Brenda asked Sonny how dare he do this to her and then slugged him and told him she would never forgive him for ruining her wedding.





After he talked to Miranda, Jax confronted his father about keeping the fact that Miranda was alive from him and in the midst of their heated arguement John suffered a heart attack and was taken to GH. Brenda kept a vigil at the hospital with Lady Jane and Jax but told then she didnt want to hear their explantions right then. Sonny went to GH to talk to Brenda but Mac and Mike kept him away from her, telling him she didnt need to see the man who ruined her wedding right now. Brenda went back to the penthouse still reeling from having her wedding cancelled and learning of Jax's previous marriage.

At the hospital Miranda told Jax that she couldnt bear the thought of Jax sitting by her bedside while she recovered from the explosion, so she let him think she died. She said she returned because she wanted Jax to hear the truth from her and not from Sonny, and that she didnt know it was his wedding day.

Sonny went to Brenda and revealed to her that John Jacks was the most powerful mafia don in Australia. Brenda retorted that Sonny was not her protector and that she would never forgive him for bringing that woman back and wrecking her wedding day. She also told him that Miranda's existence didnt change anything between her and Jax. After kicking Sonny out, Brenda popped a pain pill and then went to see John. John urged her to fight for Jax. He told her that at one time Jax and Miranda were deeply in love but that it was a long time ago and Jax had moved on. Later, Brenda overheard Jax asking Miranda to stay in PC and then learned that Miranda still carried around Jax's old love letters to her.

At the penthouse Brenda and Jax discussed the situation and Jax admitted that his marriage to Miranda had been short and simple. Brenda asked him if he still loved Miranda and Jax answered that even though he loved Brenda he just couldnt share his feelings for Miranda with her.
