Personnel and Administration Armed Forces Entrance and Selective Service April 14, 1972  During the Vietnam war in 1972, Uncle Sam drafted me while I was attending the University of Guam. That's when the birth of the Army began in me. I received my draft notice in the mail, and two days later I went down and talked to my recruiter. After he explained to me various options, I changed my status from a two year draftee to a three year volunteer and enlisted into the United States Army as a 71H, Administrative Specialist on 14 Apr 72, AFESS, Guam.
