Family News - April 2000

April 30, 2000 -- Wow! Has a month passed already? The big news for April is that my husband, Warren, has finally taken the word of almost everyone he knows and tried his hand at stand-up comedy. As we have all been telling him for years, he's great at it. I was really excited when I saw him on stage for the first time. He was getting real laughs and applause and I finally got to say "I told you so!" to him for a change. His first appearance at Seattle's Comedy Underground was a great success and I hope it will soon be followed by many more successes.

April 1, 2000 -- I just got a new job. No! This isn't a joke. As of Monday, April 3rd, I will a full time employee of Microsoft. I have actually been working there since last August on a contract basis and now I am moving over to Microsoft permanently. I'm really excited. I'll be doing the same job I've been doing as a contractor, but now I don't have to worry about whether or not my contract will be renewed every three months.
