Andrew's Asperger Page

Since March 17, 2001, you are visiter number Counter to come across this page.

This page was created because I have an extremely misunderstood disorder known as Asperger Syndrome. I was diagnosed when I was 17. I was a target for bullies who didn't undertand me, because of my general lankiness and my thoughts and beliefs. Only another person with Asperger Syndrome could fully understand the syndrome.

This syndrome was first diagnosed in the 1940's by Hans Asperger. The people who have it are usually rather solitary, and are very focused on their interests. Most of these interests eventually become the field of the person's studies, and the person become famous from them. Famous people such as Albert Einstein had Asperger Syndrome.

I have trouble socializing with others. My difficulties include eye-contact, hugging, and other interpersonal things. My eyes tend to wander when someone is talking to me, although 80% of the time, I am listening. I don't like hugging people, such as my mom who likes hugs. It doesn't mean I don't like people. However, I do like to be all by myself.
