We met on Prodigy ... awwww .... online love gone good :) Our online friendship lasted a year before we realized we were in love. Soon thereafter, Bob came to Texas to visit and that is when we knew there was a future for us.
We kept our promises to each other and here we are. Two years after meeting and falling in love, Tena arrived in Pennsylvania to live forever. The wait was worth it and we are loving every minute of it :)
All the hours spent online talking helped us to better understand one another and prepare for our life together.
Communication is something we are best at and always a plus in any relationship. Although in love, we are still best friends and spend hours talking to one another. We enjoy spending family time together, chatting with friends online, and lots of other things too. We do have a life ya know! *smile*
Well, we finally did it! We were married on Saturday, November 8, 1997. Thank you all for the congratulations and well wishes!
We keep each other quite amused. Our friends have had a lot of laughs about some things that have happened since we started our life together. We want to share a few of those stories with you here.
The most important thing you need to know right now is Bob claims to have the worst luck in the world. After reading these adventures, I am sure you will ask, "Why would you say that, Bob?" *laughing out loud*
It may also come in handy for you to know that life with Tena is like an episode of "I Love Lucy" ... we'll just call our version, "I Love Luv" *smile*
This section will be updated regularly since there is something going on with us all the time!
This incident happened the first week I was in Pennsylvania. I was trying to settle into the routine around here but was still quite nervous and a "little" scatterbrained ... a big move can be nerve-wracking for anyone ... right? We were on our way out the door to run errands. I had everything in my hands ... The car keys, MY purse, HIS Cigs, HIS lighter, HIS wallet, and a few other miscellaneous HIS items. *hehe* His hands were full too, he was carrying the bags of our recycling stuff. (Yep, we are an environmentally correct couple) Well, to make a long story short, HIS wallet wound up on the top of the car where it was promptly forgotten. We re-traced our miles but didn't find the wallet and Nim was not a happy recycler! Not only did he ... er ... I lose all of the pictures, credit cards, and ID's, but HIS emergency cash that was hidden inside! Lucky for me, the wallet was found with everything inside except for that emergency stash. I say lucky because if the cash had been inside that would have given him the funds to ship me back to Texas! He claims he never thought of that possibility but why should I believe that ... huh? *laugh*
Well, this is just one of those typical Nim/Luv stories. We were decorating the house for our first Christmas together. My job was to put the garland around the Christmas light wires to hide them ... no problem right? hehe! Ok, maybe a small one but we are both still alive! LOL! Anyway, when I got to the front window I noticed that the piece of garland I was using was too long so I was gonna trim it. Sounds logical right? LOL! Scissors in hand, I cut the extra piece of garland and suddenly there were no Christmas lights on anymore. Whattha heck just happened here? Ooops, I cut the garland AND the wires! Bob just gave me one of those Nim looks (the kind I see alot anymore) ... he looks so cute when he does that! LOL! I still chuckle when I think about this one ... Bob still moans, "I said hide the wires not destroy them!" He says that next year I "watch" while he decorates! Now is that nice? *giggle*
No adventure would be complete without this story. (G) Bob was trying to be the nice guy he is and help in the kitchen. We were standing at the sink making goo-goo eyes at each other and sneaking a few kisses in between the cooking and the cleaning that had to be done. Bob turned the garbage disposal on and a knife popped out of the disposal and flew right past us. Well, was actually closer to him and why I was in trouble LOL! I didn't see that knife fall in there!!! It wasn't funny at the time but thinking back on it makes for great comedy. The look on his face was priceless!
The next day, we made a trip to the insurance agent to take out life insurance on us both! Not a bad idea with me around! *haha*!
We made a wav file to keep the memory fresh in our minds. It is called "PoorBob" You have got to hear this one ... too funny! Please be patient and give it time to load ... thank you!
This is the most recent adventure and one that I (Luv, of course) did solo! Hmmm ... hard to believe but it happens occasionally! *grin* Well, Nim left me on my own to go grocery shopping and everything was going along as expected until I was putting the groceries in the trunk. There I was paying close attention to getting them all just right when I turned around for the last few bags and the cart was gone!!!!! I guess that "small" incline I was parked on gave the cart that little extra push needed to start rolling down the hill and straight for cars parked on the aisle across from me. LOL! Thank Gawd Candid Camera, or one of those other "video" shows, was not lurking in the parking lot or I would definitely be plastered all over television screaming and chasing that runaway cart!
I called Nim at work and he couldn't wait to get off the phone so he could tell "the guys" what his Luv had just done! It's so nice to know I keep him happy and amused! *smile*
