Internet Explorer Quirks and Tricks
When filling out a form on the Web have you ever had this
happen? In the middle of it you decid to check something on a previous page, click the
Back arrow and
when you get back to the form you find that all the textboxes that you had previously
filled were now blank. Did you ever ask..."Why did I lose the data I had already
entered?"
Microsoft Internet Explorer keeps the data only if the page is cached
to disk and the data hasn't changed. This is not a bug; it's the
default operation. So when you're filling out a form and you click the
Back arrow, chances are good that you'll lose your form data.
