When Internet Explorer can't connect to the
internet, it
loads an empty web page called blank.htm.
If this is a pain, turn it into a favorites page. Here's how it's done:
First find it (C:\Windows\System folder
.... or use Find to locate blank.htm on your system)
Before you start to edit blank.htm, you must open it in
FrontPage, or FrontPage Express. (If you don't have this free Web editor, you can download it from www.microsoft.com/ie/ie40/download
.) Select Favorites, Organize Favorites, and drag all of the links you
want into FrontPage Express. You can also use Notepad if you
still use it too - and just copy and paste in the urls. After you're done, resave blank.htm in its original location.
To achieve the same goal in Navigator 4, you should select Edit,
Preferences, click Navigator ( left pane), click the Browse button and
look for and select bookmark.htm, which is usually located in \program files\netscape.
