Minotaur zombies are mindless, animated corpses controlled by their creators, usually evil wizards or priests. The condition of the minotaur corpse is not changed by the animating spell. If the body was missing a limb, the zombie created from it would be missing the same limb. Since it is difficult to get fresh bodies, most zombies are in sorry shape, usually missing hair and flesh, and sometimes even bones. This affects their movement, making it jerky and uneven.

In their living state they are huge, well over 7 feet tall, and quite broad and muscular. They had the head of a bull but the body of a human male. Their fur is brown to black and rotting away, the state depending on the age of the corpse. Clothing is minimal, usually a loin cloth or skirt. The rotting stench from a minotaur zombie might be noticeable up to 100 feet away, depending upon the condition of the body. Minotaur zombies cannot talk, being mindless, but have been known to utter a low moan when unable to complete an assigned task.
They are often times found in underground labyrinths, where they lived as minotaurs. They are not confused in these places, which gives them an advantage over their prey. Often times abandoned minotaur lairs will serve as strongholds for evil wizards or priests.

Combat: Minotaur zombies are strong (equivalent human Strength of 18), but move very slowly, always striking last in a combat round. They do not head butt as they would in life, being mindless they have no mind for these tactics. Instead they attack open handed, seeking to claw or pummel their victim to death. Like most undead, minotaur zombies are immune to sleep, charm, hold, death magic, poisons, and cold-based spells. A vial of holy water inflicts 2-8 points of damage to a minotaur zombie.

They can be turned as wights.

Habitat/Society:
Minotaur zombies are typically found in labyrinths, the typical place where they die. The labyrinth is rarely natural. Often an evil wizard or a tyrant will construct a labyrinth and place the minotaur family there, feeding it prisoners and slaves on a regular basis. When the minotaurs die, the same wizard may animate their corpse and continue to use the labyrinth as a death sentence for his enemies.

Ecology: Minotaur zombies are not natural creations and have no role in ecology or nature.
