What Came To Be: The Saga

ShadowHawk: an enormous mistake or an idea whose time had come? Judging by the reaction of the fans, the latter was the answer in a big, big way. From the very first issue, creator Jim Valentino made it clear that he intended to do it his way this time around, throwing conventional "wisdom" into the wind in favour of an approach that is at once unusual, intriguing, and most of all, thought-provoking.

Unlike conventional "heroes" ShadowHawk breaks the law, (not to mention the antagonists backs) every time he goes into action.

Unlike conventional "heroes" with their secret identities, ShadowHawk burst onto the comic book scene with an identity that was not revealed to anyone, even the reader.

Unlike conventional superhero "series," the story of ShadowHawk, The ShadowHawk Saga, takes place over five finite series as opposed to a regularly numbered order. Each chapter of the saga is meant to be viewed like an individual movie. Collectively they will tell the tale of a character who has quickly become one of the most popular figures in the highly successful Image Comics line.
