Steve, a physician in family practice, retired from vetrans' administration hospital in Salem, NC, in 1998. He remembers Arlie Winesett as a patient but is unsure when he died - Arlie was not reliable about keeping appointments perhaps because of his poor health. Steve was unable to family members.

Peggy is a school nurse.

Steve and Peggy's children are:
1. Preston Steve, Jr., (1967),
2. Lori Anne (1969), and
3. Donald Andrew (1971).

Preston Steve Jr. is a graduate student in entomology at the University of Tennessee. He should receive his Phd in the spring of 2002. Lori is a counselor for "at risk" children in Roanoke. Andy received his Phd from NC State was works for Exxon/Mobile in the Houston area.
