That's pretty much all I can say.
Wow!
This now one of my favourite episode to date! Michael Shanks' acting probably doesn't even need to be mentioned, but I'll do it anyway : Outstanding! I'm going to show this episode to my 'friend', who always says "Oh let me know when the show has better acting." In this episode we get to see Michael Shanks play
Well, once again, Carter got to save the day. It's wasn't as obvious and in your face as the "Super Carter" bit has been, these past few episodes, so that's good. Although personally (and I know they tried in A Matter of Time and The Fifth Race), I'd like to see another team or person who is not on SG-1, save the day, not just try to. I.E., The Chevron Guy (after coming back from his vacation in the Bahamas and getting back his RIGHTFUL position from Simmons) suddenly gets a genuis idea and saves SG-1 from the evil...uh...frog. Or...well...something! I dunno.
Richard Dean Anderson, I thought, was pretty good as Teal'c. Not as good as Christopher Judge was as Jack, I'll admitt, but, when seeing another actor try to do the same thing as one actor does, you kinda get more respect for what the origional actor does, and how hard it is.
Hmm...did that make any sense? I made a point somewhere in there, but I'm not quite sure what it is yet.
Lots of weird humour in this one. WHOO HOO! Weird humour is good. "I must shave my head" and "We will all feast...on me," were nice.
So, besides for the purposes of plot and obvious 'it's time for a "Daniel" episode' thoughts from the writers, why do you think Machello chose Daniel's body to 'inhabit'? Well, there's the obvious fact that Michael Shanks is...to put it bluntly, cute. I don't think that needs to be mentioned. We all know it's true. Could also be that Daniel's body reminded Machello of his own youth (as they are both Michael Shanks...so...it's sort of like Chris Owens played Jeffry Spender AND the young C.S.M. on the X-Files...in an odd sort of way). Or, it could be that Machello was bias of Jaffa, didn't want to be a women (as is with most men...a few I know are of the exception, granted, but still...), and I think that Machello had physic powers and simply didn't want to be Jack because of that whole one-liner thing.
