Got Issues! He's got them all! Well ladies and gentlemen its time once again to take part in the global bashing of random obscenities by…ME!!! On today’s schedule we have music, music and more music. So once again get the coffee ready and start drinking it down. Here we go. Ok I don’t know about you but I was watching the MTVicon Metallica the other night, and well F%$K it was a massacre of great music. Ok, for all you ppl who didn’t see it we had a crap studded line up of ‘Great’ bands (notice quotations ;)) including Korn <cough cough> Krap < cough cough> (don’t blame me I only speak the truth.), Limp Cookie <gag>, Avril Lavigne (ok whatever <girly blond accent> LOL), Stained (they needed a kick in the ass) and if that wasn’t bad enough we had to see Snoop Dog (huh?) actually doing a ‘tallica Cover….WTF?!? How does that work. Ok to start because this was a mockery of all is the Metallica, Snoop Dog played the song ‘Sad but True’ good song…or at least it was until that night. Not only was it off key but thankfully it was only a verse of the song…I couldn’t take much more, I was almost ready to change the F%$#ING channel (me of all ppl) and then James Hetfield (Metallica Front man) said it was interesting and showing Lars Ulrich (Metallica Drummer) bobbing his head to this insanity. All I have to say is WTF is going on. The next worse and probably one of the biggest slaps in the face I have ever seen was Korn playing one of ‘tallica’s greatest songs ‘one’. We all have either seen the song or heard it. Its F#%&ING amazing and among one of my personal favorites. Well for lack or a better saying it was a butchering of the song, first of all the singer cannot sing the song properly but I can’t truly blame that it’s a voice its hard to change, but I can’t forgive the bassist for such bullshit performance. The basses strings smacking the pickups downed out the rest of the F%$^#ING song. And then the guitarists only played ¼ of the rhythm solos and if that’s not bad enough they’re leading up to the main solo and my favorite solo from Metallica and what happens….they stop, the songs over. WHAT!?! It’s over your F$^^ING with me here you can’t even try and attempt the damn solo…I mean common I’m 19 and I can play the damn thing it’s not that hard. SHIT WTF!!!!! Now you see why I call Korn Krap. Next on the list is Limp Cookie (Limp Bizkit for anyone who doesn’t get it ;)) taking on another ‘tallica great ‘Welcome Home (Sanitarium)’ now this is another powerful song. Anyway it wasn’t as bad as Korn’s performances but none the less the wreaked the song… in a big way. Front man Fred Durst decided he wanted to destroy the lyrical rhythm and do it his own way. Dude if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But whatever, they’re own creative juices. But it turned into a bad rendition of one of his shitty songs off of his album. On top of that we had mister DJ do some rendition of the final solo for the song. And once again the guitarist decided that the songs solos are too cool for him. Once again solidifying my position that these Nu metal bands can’t play for shit and must have picked up an instrument a week before they started the band. Now I’m sure your all tired of me ranting and raving about how bad the show was and if you have read this far without needing more than a single pot good for you, so I think I will stop here…nah I got more for ya. Get another pot. Next on the bashing list is Avril Lavigne, this was at least an attempt and not completely horrible, it wasn’t a butchering but it wasn’t great. They got her on the show for ratings and not because of anything else. Common she is a corporate product of music businesses trying to make money on multiple groups. She’s a bad mix between boy/girl band pop and punk. But she’s not punk she’s too clean cut. But anyway that’s not the point here (like I really care that much anyway). So these guys decide to play ‘Fuel’, another great song I might add. It was a valiant attempt and at least the Lead guitarist decided to make up solo for the song, its not Hammit but it will due considering the rest of the garbage on this ‘tallica destruction tour. It’s almost a shame that this little girl created by big business had to show up all these guys. Pathetic. There were only two good things in this 1 ½ hour show. This first was the intro, the best covers of ‘tallica I have heard in a while was played by Sum 41. Making a decent/good (that’s a good compliment coming from me) rendition of a collection of great songs all leading up to the ‘Master of Puppets’ solo to introduce the ‘tallica boys. That I admit it was really good. The only other thing is Metallica actually playing. It was good, going through they’re songs one after the other, only down side was that James’s voice has taken its toll. All in all the show sucked ass…aside from the beginning and end. So I leave all these bands that sucked ass with an F%$K you and have a nice day. Keebler
