Laws and Regulations1: The Escheat is to be followed at all times 2: There is a ban on all weapons of any kind. There is a weapons locker near the door, and is to be employed before entering the hold proper. Chimerical weapons are to be set in the box if they can't be peacetied. Peacetied weapons may not be drawn at any time inside the hold. In an emergency situation, the Representatives if possible, will handle the situation. If this is not possible, then force should be the LAST POSSIBLE conclusion for ejection from the hold. 3: Unlawful drugs are not to be used in the hold proper. This goes for underage (under wilderhood) drinking and use of tobacco related products as well. Whatever is done in the private rooms is private, but this is a communal home for many, including childlings, and to protect the right not to use. In the best interest of all, cigarette smoking is allowed, but please be consciencious of others and smoke in the designated areas (which is a good deal of the hold, the bar area included). Adequate ventilation will be installed for the comfort of all. 4: The Art of Sovereign is not to be used in the Freehold. 5: Reps reserve the right to temporarily banish someone for three days and three nights, or until met with council vote unless it is part-and-parcel with a Standard Punishment. A 2/3 [6 member] vote is needed for permanent banishment. Individual punishments can be issued by Kith Reps for their Kith. 6: [Modified] Enchanted Prodigals and mortals must ask permission from the council to enter/stay in the hold. There must be at least one fae willing to take responsibility for the actions of the prodigal, and must bring the prodigal's wish to enter before the council. Prodigals and their sponsor may be ejected for lack of representation, ill intent, and use of powers, as well as disobeying any laws while in the hold. The sponsor must accompany the Prodigal in question. Kinain, however, do not require a sponsor to be present. 7: [Modified] There are no court positions save Parliament representatives. 8: [Modified] Gallain and Thallain are to be allowed in, with discretion. Just as any member of the dream, they are subject to all laws. If they misbehave then they are banished. Period. 9: [Added/Modified] In addition to Banishments, both temporary and permanent, a group of Standard Punishments have been added to the Firnost lawbooks. A violator of these laws, upon being proven guilty, is immediately subject to these punishments on the spot. A Representative as a witness is grounds enough to deliver these punishments without consultation. Other fae witnessing such crimes as outlined herein may act accordingly, but to ensure due process, an inquiry will be undertaken as to the validity of their actions. The so-called "Revenge Clause" is enacted at the time of a physical murder in the freehold, and is carried out thusly: A relative, oathmate, or kithmate of the victim, or any other concerned citizen of Firnost, may petition the Parliament to enact their own punishments, up to and including the maximum punishment allowed by our law [i.e. Chimerical Death]. This is performed only with the sanction of Parliament, and will not be a common occurrence. If the Revenge Clause is not requested, and as with all other punishments requiring Chimerical Death, a member of Parliament will perform the actual act.
10: [Added/Modified] Votes must pass by a two-thirds majority, and all cases are to be considered closed two weeks after their initial proposal. Any votes not in by this time are void, and the outcome of the vote will be calculated among those that did vote for the purposes of 2/3 majority. [ BACK ] |
