Fox tries to X out Tribune's ``Mutant'' in new court filing

The move comes more than a week after a U.S. District Court judge ruled that Tribune's use of the ''Mutant X'' title violated Fox's rights -- but stopped short of actually forcing the television distributor to change the series' name.

The movie studio, concerned that ``Mutant X'' contained too many similarities to its own ``X-Men'' film franchise, had asked for a preliminary injunction to halt production and use of the title.

Gillian Anderson to 'quit X-Files' In an interview with the Sunday Times newspaper, Actress Gillian Anderson, the actress that portrays Agent Dana Scully has said she will "quit the X-Files" after one more series to spend more time with her daughter. Gillian Anderson, Robert Patrick and Annabeth Gish were also nominated in the acting categories.
