In the eyes of Garou society, Nathan was a pest who never really understood the stakes. Nathan was happy to learn the basic Glasswalker lore and enjoyed using his family wealth to buy as many gadgets as possible.
He hooked up with Tiger Tanaka on a whim when they met in Chicago, travelling to London in the hopes of finding something to do for a couple of weeks. Instead, he got dragged through the manipulations of NWO Agent Stevens into a quest aimed at tracking down a travelling circus alleged to be a front for an Infernalist cult.
During the confrontation with the cult, Tanaka was dragged through a portal into the distant Horizon Realm of the cult's patron, and Nathan was instrumental in his rescue - keeping the portal open long enough to wrest him from the entity's coils. Nathan sacrificed himself to seal the portal, being pulled into the implosion and disappearing from this plane of reality.
