The Fantasia Saddle - Bridle

Bridle (Drawing by Author)
Schematic Drawing
of Moroccan bridle

The bridle consists of one piece going from the horse's mouth over the poll to the opposite side. At the lower ends, there are buckles for the bit (a so-called egyptian curb, in most cases).

At the eyes' positions, there are blinds sewed to the bridle. They are obligatory. I am sure that these parts, together with the forehead decoration, form an important reason for the incredible lack of nervousness in the Barb Horses of Maghreb (of course together with genetic factors and the traditional education).
