As the Director of the Adult & Professional Education Services, the provision of educational services for our adult clientele is my primary responsibility within the administrative structure of our School Board.

Services are provided within our two Adult & Professional Education Centers, each administered by a Center Director. In addition, we provide off-campus and extra-territorial progamming in various locations across the Province of Quebec.

Within the Adult & Professional Education Services, programs are offered in the areas of Literacy, Pre-Secondary and Secondary Education. In addition a diverse compliment of vocational education programs are offered in preparation for entry into the workplace. Within the vocational services offerred, specialized training is developed in conjunction with commerce and industry for the purposes of up-grading employees skill areas or in retraining as a result of technological change.

To assure a standardized level of quality training, development of expertise, and the rational distribution of specialized equipment, the Province of Quebec has established a "map of vocational options" that while restricting school boards in their offerings supports the development of vocational education as a viable option to higher education.
