Elementary education in the Province of Quebec, Canada entails grades kindergarten through grade six, of which kindergarten (5 yr.olds) became full-day as of the 1997-1998 school year. The concept of half-day 4 yr. old kindergarten is being considered for implementation.

Within the New Frontier School Board's elementary schools, a bilingual (French/English) education program has been established providing a 50/50 split in time between teaching in English and teaching in French.
