It is not up too much left of what the Provincial Forum of the
Capital of Hispania Citerior was. Ther is only a wall left.
It is situated in what today we call Plaça del Forum (Forum Square) in memory of the
original building. From that building one of the two provinces of Hispania was ruled by
the Emperator August in the year 27 B.C. The territory of the Hispania Citerior went from
the North of what today is Almeria until the mouth of the river Duero in Portugal.
