This necropolis, was used right from the beginning of the Roman presence in the city until the VI-VII centuries. Therefore, we can see different kinds of burials (tombs of amphora, sarcophagus, ...) from Pagan burials and the remains of a Roman village until Christian burials from the III century..
This archaeological area has a museum where the sarcophagus together with the things which were inside ans other remains can be seen. There is also an open air zone where the excavations can be seen.

Among the main pieces in the museum it has to be pointed up the "Sarcòfag dels Lleons" (The Lion's Sarcophagus), "el del sacrifici d'Isaac" (Isaac's Sacrifice), "Sant Pere" (Saint Peter's one) and "Sant Pau" (Saint Paul's sarcophagus). On the first floor we can find several epigraphic examples from the IV-V centuries, some mosaics (the Optim one) some sepulchres and several statues.
