Lyrics to remember.
Why write something like this? Philosophy, boredom, ego? None of these satisfy. For whom to write something like this? Myself? Family? Random link junkies?
Why a green room? I don't really know. My busy background image was too bandwith intensive, and black, my original choice for a background, soon lost its appeal to me. I've found other green rooms on the net (there goes my self image of originality). I seem to have stumbled by accident upon a phrase that has some meaning in artistic circles. The green rooms I found were mostly related to theatre or art. Hmmm.
I remembered a song when I was looking at the Bible quotation on the front page of my Green Room, Day by Day. It's just a couple of lines about God's love.
Day by day
You reveal your love to me.
Cradled in your arms I am
A precious lamb,
A diamond in your eyes.
That is how I live, not in yesterday nor tomorrow. Cliché as it may seem, I try not to burden myself with past mistakes, or worry about future problems.
Another song comes to my mind. I struggle to bring it out, but it escapes me.
My co-workers and I are excited about the Coupe du Monde (the Soccer World Cup), and listened to the first match between Brazil and Scotland on the radio. We all prophesied what the results would be, 1-1, 2-2 (Mine), 3-0 for Brazil, None hit the mark, 2-1 for Brazil. Fun! At least it's better than dreary office work.
Return to the Green Room, or to
Day by Day.
