Introduction

The origin of numbers is unknown. But, ancient Chaldeans, Egyptians, Hindus, Essenes, and the wise ones of the Arabic world were masters of the hidden meanings of numbers. Certain “enlightened ones” of these ancient peoples discovered what is known today as the Precession of the Equinoxes, calculating that such an event takes place every 25,850 years. How they arrived at such a calculation is a mystery. Even our modern scientists/mathematicians have been unable to do anything but prove and acknowledge the accuracy of these calculations. The ancients must have had a far greater insight into numbers than we ever knew. This shows itself in the system of numerology they developed.

Numerology is simply assigning the correct number value to each letter of a name, then calculating, by simple addition, that name number. You will also use the numbers of your birth date.

Before the demonstration of how to find your birth number and your name number, both single and compound, you must know the following basic rules of numerology:

1) The numbers 11 and 22 are called Master Numbers. This means that when being added to another number, they may not be reduced – i.e. – the number 11 may not be added to make the number 2 and the number 22 may not be added to make the number 4. These 2 Master Numbers must always be added to other numbers in the numerology process as 11 and 22.

2) Only when the total of the numerical value of the name is 11 or 22 may these numbers be added to produce the single 2 or 4 to equal the single Key Number of birth.

3) The single numbers 1 through 9 are called the root numbers; they belong to the physical or material side of the person/entity. They denote what the person/entity appears to be in the eyes of the world.

4) The double or compound numbers belong more to the spiritual side of life, they indicate the hidden karmic influences behind the scenes, and foreshadow the destiny of the individual.

5) The name numbers (compound and single) are the basic definition of that person/entity. The birth numbers are like the “details” of that person/entity.

When you have learned how to use numerology according to the rules and the correct method of calculation, you will find it surprisingly useful. The study and practical application of numerology is not contrary to anyone’s religious beliefs, rather it is one of the aspects of Universal Harmonics; and a way to achieve (if used properly) Synchronization to Nature’s laws. While fate may create the basic framework for your learning/growth experiences on this plane, you need not give up and submit blindly to negative experiences. Not only will you discover more about yourself and others, but you will be able to observe karmic patterns at work everywhere. Always remember : You are in charge of your own fate/destiny through your power of free will and choice.

[ The Special Relationship Between 4 and 8 ]

Explanation
You probably noticed that the compound numbers end at 52.
This is the reason given by the ancients:

According to the Chaldeans, when you pass the root number 9, you multiply 9 until the compound number of 45 is reached. Then you add the mystical number 7 to the 45 producing 52, which represents the 52 weeks in our calendar year. When the 52 is multiplied by the mystical 7 it produces the number 364, equaling the number of days in a year in ancient times. The Chaldeans used the 365th day of the year as the one great festival holiday (holy day), when no work was performed by man, woman, child or beast. Whether or not you understand this, the rule must be observed. All compound numbers reached through your calculations that are higher than 52 must be added to reach a new single/compound number.

EXAMPLES:
53 = SINGLE KEY NUMBER OF 8*
54 = SINGLE KEY NUMBER OF 9*
55 = COMPOUND KEY NUMBER OF 10
56 = COMPOUND KEY NUMBER OF 11
57 = COMPOUND KEY NUMBER OF 12
58 = COMPOUND KEY NUMBER OF 13
59 = COMPOUND KEY NUMBER OF 14
60 = THE SINGLE KEY NUMBER OF 6*
ETC.

The ancients also say that when the compound key number of the name is higher than 52 and will not be added to get a compound key number (such as 53,54,60) it indicates that a person has paid most of their karmic debts. These people have less karma to balance out than the average person does. Naturally this will not hold true if you change the spelling of you name. It applies only to the name given to you by destiny (our parents higher selves guided them in this).

The compound key number of birth is not involved in this rule since the highest compound birth number is 31.
