I am a Sun Worshipper.
Not so much as in 'oh my Deity',
although I can see me doing that too,
but in that I need the sun's warming rays
to be healhty and happy.
I suntan like crazy, at least twice a week,
and while family and friends are horrified
at the amount for risk of skin cancer,
I soak up on a regular basis, I am not worried.
For some reason, my body KNOWS.
Knows what it needs to be healthy,
knows that the sun won't hurt us.
Strange, maybe. But I am not alone.
It is no secret that sun helps with depression,
various skin deseases, and boosts general energy.
The secret is to find out your individual need
and just how much you can safely handle.
Unfortunately, I cannot teach you how,
but one advise I strongly urge you to follow:
Get the best skin care products you can afford
and don't try to save money on them in favor of cheapies.
Good tanning accalerators contain at least
lanolin, vitamin e, and aloe vera extracts,
ingrediences the skin needs to stay healthy.
If used properly, the skin does not suffer.
Also use an after tanning lotion, again, the best of the best.
Above all, listen to your body. If you know how,
it will tell you how much is enough :)
