Merry Meet :) My name is Sorcy SummerWind (aka the Sorceress).
It took me a while to decide how I wanted to set up this site. I know it's very heavy on the loading time, but we all loved our backgrounds so much, that trying to cut down on graphics any more then we did was simply not possible. I'm glad you had the patience to make it this far :) For us, it is like a vacation to dive into our various waters. They represent the many different paths we follow. You are now in my personal domain :)

My element is Water, and for me there is nothing more powerful then diving into the warm waters of Mother Nature, preFERably from a secluded island in the Bahamas, but on a day to day basis, the bathtub will do in a heartbeat :) My zodiac sign is Scorpio, my guardian tree is a little lilac, my favorite 'tool' is a bloodstone, and my specialty is healing. My spirit guide/animal is a fierce little Kestrel, who took me flying many nights when I was growing up. My soul beast is a large cat, unfortunately the sly bugger changes species at whim, although most of the time it's a cougar, she's been known to appear as a cheetah. There is a shy, almost nonexisting wolf, which only appears when called by another, and the latest addition in recent years seems to be a dolphin; That started after I touched and played with one in the wild, and it seems the connection was never quite broken.... Lately I've been invaded by spiders, and since Momma is screaming Her head off for me to get over my fear of them, I allowed one very pretty (for a spider, urgh) one to take residence in my kitchen window. Momma was bright enought to let me find him in a tiny but perfect web one sunny morning, and he himself was tiny too. I had a scream or two, after not seeing him for a while, and re-discovering him in double size, but oh well.... the choice here wasn't mine. Had he had hairy legs, he'd be outside, freezing :)

I'm a KraeuterHexe (the German Word for HerbWitch, however, it does not have the negative perceival witch often carries) by birth, Eclectic by choice, and Solitary by circumstance, other than for my on-line family.

I am practicing kitchen and green witchery, with main focus on healing and herbalism; I am also a Taoist, having found true peace on the 'Way'. Looking for ways to attempt voluntary simplicity, I am currently embracing a new challenge and included Deep Ecology in my studies; Wonderful teachings to bring us even closer to Nature.

I always looked with a little envie at those of you I considered the 'real' caboodle. I should have realized a long time ago that since my magick works without elaborations, I should be grateful. I don't need a robe, or a circle. My robe are my gardener's gloves (which I barely wear anyhow), my circle is my whole garden... ever has been since I planted the lilacs in the corners.

I love my altar, but realize I dont' need it, it is a beautiful decoration and maybe sometimes focus point, to remember all of you who are so dear to me (as I display all of your little gifts).

I am a Healer. Not more, not less. Magick comes naturally with each plant I tend and harvest, and ritual is enclosed in each watering and weeding. So much more than I ever realized..... getting my hands dirty is like a major sabbath.
