Most of the books in this series deal with women and their struggles and hardships with pioneer life. The women in these books deal with issues that women today face. Questions of love, beauty, change, and loneliness cross her character's minds. As their problems are dealt with, they know that there is only one answer to their questions. God. As we watch their development and their changes, we learn that no matter what God is there to help us along and give us hope, courage, knowledge, and a love no human can ever give.
