I Am that I Am | by Carden Alphonso Michael |
I Am that I Am,
the beginning and the ending,
Alpha and Omega.
I Am that I Am,
he who loveth righteousness
and hateth evil, Jehovah, God.
I am the prince of peace
who sends signs and wonders upon the heathens,
and smite mighty kings.
Jehovah.
I Am that I Am,
not of the dead,
but of the living.
I Am the great I Am
waiting to judge Adolph Hitler,
Mussolini and
"Christian", thieving Christopher Columbus
for all the atrocities that they committed against
people of color.
I Am that I Am.
I Am the way the truth and the life
but will come upon the wicked like a thief in the night
to cut their bands asunder.
I Am that I Am.
I Am that I Am,
waiting to Judge the false prophets for their lies, hypocrisy,
and deceiving my people.
I Am the great I Am.
I Am that I Am
executing fire and brim stone
upon those who promise Black people
forty acres of land and a mule
for their labor, blood, sweat and tears
under the sun.
I Am the great I Am,
Jehovah, God.
