After the 1st, some astrologers consider this to be the most important House in a person's chart because it shows the climax of a life or a career, the mountain finally climbed, the prize or social status achieved. Although Saturn is called The Gloomy Planet, none of us could manage without his stern teachings. He puts the reins on wilful passions, holds stupidity in check, and sometimes - rather sadly - delays all our ambitions and plans. There's generally a good reason, and one has to learn to accept his controls gracefully. But the rewards, when they come? Here, in his own House, Saturn gives the native self-reliance, steadfastness, responsibility, with the rewards of a glamorous destiny - though late in life. However, if badly aspected with other planets, things can go horribly wrong - "A great rise, followed by a great fall" is how some describe it. Both Napoleon and Hitler had Saturn badly placed in the 10th House. Enough said?? Health-wise - of course, all that climbing to the top means only one thing - problems with the knees!
